It can be discouraging, but i think that as much as we think others have their agenda, others will think that we have our agenda.Some people stop going to church or stop believing in God becuz they don't like the behaviour of others. But at the end of the day, should focus more on the relationship between ourselves and God.Do we denounce our earthly father becuz my brother or sister misbehave? No right.
