Why should I be envious when my church has more than 1 billion people and hundred and thousand times more money than city harvest will ever have!!
What we (traditional christians) and ALL non-christians dislike and hate about city harvest is their antichrist practices and emphasis on material rewards from God to grow their church. THIS IS NOT THE WAY A CHURCH SHOULD BE. THIS IS NOT GOD'S CHURCH.

Does your church has 1 billion people? Are you even a Christian?
Anti-Christ practice? There's such a thing call prosperity preaching. If another church's dogma is church-planting, it sticks with it's plan. NCC's dogma is preaching prosperity as a blessing for tithing . Naturally it's about money.
If NCC members are unhappy about this 500k- pay issue, the number will dwindle.
It's their organisation.

It is now proven by you and many other 'megachurch' goers that they really don't know anything about other churches or denominations AT ALL. They are so ignorant, hence they believe everything their pastor says.

Its not envy smuck, I'm a Christian, and when other Christians corrupts the word of Jesus and succumb to greed, it is our duty to criticise. Anyway you're telling us not to poke into other's business, but then here you are pocking in our business. would anyone here make a fuss out of it?
I think it's just jealousy...and 500k is not even the net pay right? how about cpf? If NCC got the money by dirty means, they wouldn't publish that big amount in the papers...

500k may mean nothing to you but it can feed an entire village in a third world country for a year!

Instead of relying on the our omnipotent God, you are advocating that we build unreliable treasures on earth and depend on them.

I'm a christian (traditional church) too. And i totally agree with Bored's reply!
I have attended both NCC and CHC sermons for period of one year. I thank the lord for removing me from these churches now as I am happiler and christianity started to make sense to me now.
Megachurches cherry-pick the scriptures to their own doctrines. Go read Kong Hee's blog and you find he has created a new faith in christianity.
He made comment that his is a "21st" century church. But how can our faith be ever changing? Shouldn't what was left for us be the same 2000 yrs ago and 2000 yrs later?
In his blog he also challenge topics on christianity and cosmestic surgery and tattoo. Kind of condoning them both... I have two tattoos myself and I love tatto art but since my salvation at a "traditional church" I didnt see any reason of getting more tattoos anymore. That's what I called "true Salvation"
Why he is preaching according to his own interpretation? Have we forgotted what the meaning of "gospel" is?

no lah..all mega churches not lover of moneys..they just preach God's word and God just bless them with riches lor..like how abraham was blessed with tons of sheeps, cattle, servants..money just flow to megachurches de...since they see the followers all follow Jesus' command of not being lovers of money so they safekeep for them lor..except that most prob, they will never give them back so the followers can go to heaven like what they preach lor..think of the i dont go hell who go hell mentality lor..
going along this lines..i think i also want help the poor leaders safekeep their money..i really dont mind going to hell wor..

do the crows reap or sow??do they got fed??if God feeds even them, are you not worth so much more??blessings need not need to be given in terms of money..the blessings God wants us to have is to lead a happy and correct life according to his standards because he knows best..just like a car manufaacturer knows best how a car can perform under what conditions...and how then do we live according to his standards??by doing his will as in the bible..where do we get bible??either buy one or get a free one..it isnt wrong to earn money..because it is a medium of exhange for resources created by God...but too many scriptures shows hoarding excessive money is harmful..we will be too busy with that to live a good life according to his standards..
