$500,000 pay for New Creation Church employee
THE New Creation Church, which made headlines for raising $19 million
on one Sunday last month for its upcoming multi-million dollar
building, pays good money to its staff too.
The independent church paid one employee between $500,001 and $550,000
in its last financial year, checks by The Straits Times showed.
The church did not confirm if the amount went to its leader, Senior
Pastor Joseph Prince, but told The Straits Times that its policy is to
'recognise and reward key contributors to the church and Senior Pastor
Prince is the main pillar of our church's growth and revenue'.
NCC don't need to preach heaven they are living in it

Joseph prince is the man responsible for Ncc growth

so whats the complain?
Obviously he's ignoring Jesus' advise (in Matthew 19:21) that for one to enter heaven which is "as difficult for a camel through an eye of a needle", one must first give up his material wealth.
Religion is all about money, and the blind sheeps are all suckers. If its about the religion, those greedy Pastors would not have taken that much of a pay, and would have left the money for the Curch itself as the donations were targeted/intended at.
Other than having a tax exemption, it appears that Chruchs nowadays are run just like any other profitable enterprises.
he is damn smart
using his mouth
and using a religion as a beacon, to generate ridiculous amounts of money from ignorant, helpless, and not to mention, stupid people
i admire his money making mindset
but manipulating people is a no-no
so, i hope he die this year

Judge not bro, lest you be judged... Money making is a personal kind of matter... A chruch leader is expected to preach God's Word in a right way... If he did his part in this area, it should not be a problem...
But then again, here's a scripture for us to discuss:
"Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money." (1 Tim 3:2-3)
Last sentence says, not a lover of money... It gives others this kind of image that NCC is of that kind... Any NCC people want to give an explanantion how it was being put across in the church. We don't want to speculate...
=)
The love if money is the root of all evil. Sorry forgot the biblical reference quote.

hi, frankly, I don't think this is the right place to discuss. But just my take.

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Tim 6:10)
You talking about this? =)

According to that quote, Jesus advised against the accumulation of wealth. If one would wish to have the treasures in his heaven, they should give up all their earthly wealth to the poor and live a humble life.

Amen, and if the church is actively doing this to help the poor, then it should be well and good...
Hoarding too much money may lead to a lot of complications to the spiritual aspects... That is always used by the Tempter against lots of successful people...
"But godliness with contentment is great gain." (1 Tim 6:6)

lol.. o.k. Cause they did say about paying me, but i said donate to church. Damn , i shouldve asked how much first. hahaha. Maybe i shouldve just payed 10% n keep the rest. he he. But dunno why that time i felt uneasy about getting money from church. Too use to putting in, as opposed to taking out.
money and religion go hand in hand in the megachurches of today. especially 'commercialised businesses' like ncc and city harvest.
Since their focus is on making money, they should be taxed like any other mnc.
their members will argue they give to the poor and send their people to do mission works. But I ask them 'how much money goes to paying your church board members, to your grand buildings and marketing campaigns?'
now compare this money to what they give to the poor and needy.
