if one pray for a harvest but do not work in the farm, one would probably end up with no harvest
if one work in the farm but do not pray for a harvest, one would probably get half of a harvest
if one pray for a harvest and work for it in the farm, one will probably get a full harvest
just an anology for men with faith in God. i meant no insult to those who does not believe in God. i know you'll probably debate with me about reality and truth but i'm not going there... it's just an inspiration suddenly i get about the need of prayer and work... about starting your day with prayer and then get on with our work... nothing else.
Amen.
In city harvest, they believe in praying for money.
There is a saying attributed either to St. Ignatius or St Augustine which I find quite insightful,
"Pray as if everything depended on God and work as if everything depended on you."
God bless.

Amen bro, its insightful indeed... Thanks for your sharing... I really hope that there'll be more of such daily sharings in the forum to benefit us all...
Indeed, a daily prayer is an essential for us (Christians) to start our day right. A prayer helps us focus on God's powers, grace and mercy. It sets our priority for the day and more importantly, help us remember that we are Christians and should not live for ourselves... =)
