guess i didnt expect churches to teach about giving more money to church equates to God will reward u more..nor did i expect the pastor to preach about money being root of evilness and glared at me when i didnt tithe..
den go to another?

one teach me give more lor..the other church is the evil money priest lor..den i did my own research on bible stuff n listened to the many diff sects of christianity.protestants,RCC,mormons,JWs, methodist...etc.even the korean church that teach about God the son,the father, the HS,the mother..its not jus a Godhead but a God family...
If only we can all stick to the original topic...
It is definitely NOT a SIN for not going to church (for mass or whatever) as nowhere in the bible mentioned that specifically. However, do check out with others why and what they gain or lose from going to church instead of just your experience.
Chrisitianity is NEVER an individual thinking or activity. If you don understand what the bible is teaching, ask bible teachers. Don draw your own fallible conclusion
Btw, sunday preaching by pastors/elders is always generic and may not be applicable to your situation. Get into regular care group to experience basic christianity.

I believe the Korean church you speak of is the Unification Church with a very heterodox and very questionable Christian theology.
I realize a lot of pastors, when asking for donations to the church, can come off as slippery salesmen. That helps the church not one bit.

might be..cuz once i heard about their chief "selling point" i know their source is not from the true living God. so i slipped away.

christianity is about building a r/s with God through Jesus.know if your own congregation are mere followers of pastors or people who wants to build that r/s with God and wants to ask beneficial qns.
remember my 1st small group bible study.we were reading some scriptures with some qns to answer.as it is my 1st real study of the bible, i took it quite seriously.i was the 1st to answer the qns asked n gt it correct.to my amazement, the bible teacher said it was a divine rev to me..the qns goes along the line of who is satan..jus a lil pri1-2 comprehension skills would answered it too..
so bible teachers are infallible whereas studees will draw fallible conclusion though they might point out some simple yet vital points?

God may forgive ur sins and the harm u have done to others. But the person u harm may not have forgiven you =) Its more than prayers that can change things .

Yes it is a sin not to go to Mass every Sunday and on Days of Obligation without valid reasons. Are you sure you attend cathecism classes regularly? I'm sure they do teach these facts.
(P.S Do hang out at the Roman Catholic forums more often...)
Sunday mass attendance is a part of being a Roman Catholic.
If you have missed going for any mass services - either 1 time or for 4 months, don't despair, just go for your confession, and make peace with GOD.
Be reminded that you are NOT to receive Sacred Host until your confession, otherwise, it's another issue altogether.
As someone has also commented, the more important question is WHY DID YOU STOP going to mass for that period of time?
Is it that you were busy with other things, or a new weekend job that doesn't allow you to attend any of the services on Saturdays or Sundays?
Or was there something that caused your faith to be "shaken".
It it's so, then you can go for a renewal of your faith, like Parish Renewal Experience - PRE. I just went for one session last weekend - http://pre9.blogspot.com
Makes lots of friends, who will help & support you and journey you together.
