the days that was refer to in the bible did not always meant 23 hours 56-7 mins a day.not literal days. sometimes "days" were used to mean a period of time. just like genesis. God create world in 6 days and rest on the 7th.the bible did not mention any more creation projects after earth..this current project gave him enough troubles. so also meant God is still resting.
so yeah..3000 years was a miscalculation.

Who is so naive to think the world only spin for 3000 yrs. And in this context i asume the year means human years, unless you give it another term like the hindu yuga or kalpa. If the world only spin for 3000yrs, then it should stop spinning now. Why? Abraham's experience with God took place like 4000yrs ago, already exceeding 3000yrs.
And anyway, does your friend tell you what are the effects if the earth stopped spinning?
