The churches are the Body of Christ. There may be some parts not doing so well or even ill and sick, but Jesus still reigns and rules, He is in control.

The emphasis here is the modern churches. I have to agreed that many good churches around in Singapore. The term "modern" were used becos churches used modernised methods to moderate biblical teachings. There is no right or wrong in my opinions,as i am only stating the observations I made from the modern churches.

I did not mention that all churches are gone case and so hopeless, unless you have the pre-conceive idea of that. Church is definitely the body of christ and some churches does fall away from the message of the cross. The discussion here is to bring to the attention of the centralized messages of the modern church is teaching to the people. -

Holiness and teaching has nothing to do with how modern a church is.
All of creation (including modern-ness and technology) is good, but is sometimes corrupted by the devil out in the world.
To harness creation and its goodness in a church, results in a modern church.

I never stated that traditonal and unmodern= holy and I also never mentioned abt the traditional churches. Holiness and teaching definetly have to do with how modern a church is. The modern churches emphasis on the number of members, how many church buildings and land they have, the number of superstar ministers they know, the number of millionaires they have and how fashionable their members are. The modern churches have become activities-oriented and many have suffered because of that. Holiness can never be found in the church, it can only be in the life of the individual christians who have live
Not all of creation is good, because the devil is also part of creation. We push all the blame to the devil, forgetting the part that bad things and good things does happen the the believers. The Modern churches are talking abt common grace, which put us on the same platform as others in the world. God loves people, but this love has translate into a self-righteous form of love, which the modern churches are forcing the rest to accept.
There is no holy people in the church, not included the pastor, because santification is a process throughout of life. The modern church thinks that they have the answer to the problems of the world, because of advanced technology or we are the only group of people that have passport to heaven. The sermons of the modern church can never go beyond the church walls, simply because the church is make up of falliable people and leaders.
Coming back to the theme of the thread, the disussion is that the knowledge of sin and repentance is the last topic preach in the modern churches now. Biblical sounded christians knows that, but what are we doing with it? -

and then Ironside posted articles, many of them dealing with sanctification .. it is about how you live your life after Justification. Refer to the ordo salutis, Arminians and Calvinists disagree about front part, but back part they agree .. the order is justification, sanctification and glorification.
common grace is grace extended to mankind, special/saving grace is that offered to the elect. -
Of course santification is a process that will take a life time.

Dear friends, my personal view is that it doesn't matter whether a person is theologically trained or not. There are many believers and ministers who are theologically trained, but yet no consicous of sin at all. The teachings on the consequences of sins and the fear of God has been replaced by the works of men, which is the main pillar of the modern churches. Where is the modern churches heading to?

What laws was God referring to when He said, “I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts”? Secondly, when you know that you are perfectly accepted by God because of Jesus, you can have the courage and liberty as a child of God to come boldly into the presence of your heavenly Father who loves you so much. And in His presence, God is able to put in or write on your heart new desires and you will find yourself wanting to do the right things at the right time. You will live life victoriously from the inside out. This is the perfect law of liberty operating in your life.
When you sense what God is writing on your heart and putting in your mind, and as your faith is activated, causing you to trust Him, God calls it obeying the law of faith. When that happens, whatever you believe, you receive!
