For a christian, the important part is to believed that God hears your prayer... but also rememeber, the answer and the way it comes may not be as expected.... one thing though, believe that God only want the best for you.
example of prayer as in the Bible as taught by our Lord Jesus Christ
Matthew 6 : 5-15 (NIV)
Prayer
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. -

To ask for examples of prayers, is like saying, can you give me examples of how you talk to your father?
Perhaps you tell us what you want to pray about, maybe people here guide you and you can use it as a guide, if u're just learning to pray. -

The Lord's prayer is an example/template.
When Jesus taught it, He said "pray likewise", not "memorise this".
You could preach an entire sermon on this man...every verse in the Lord's prayer is something... -

In Islam for example, prayer is spoken using a template. Outwardly, the entire prayer is choreographed, from how you pray and what you should do to what you should say. Islam says Muslims must pray 5 times a day, at specific times. The kind where you 'talk' to God like a friend is not considered prayer; it is something else and less important than prayer.
Just sharing some religious insight.

Prayer as defined in Islam, for example, follows a set template. And it is *always* in Arabic.
Prayer as defined in Christianity, where you just bare your heart out to God, is more like informal prayer to them. -
