Science is a concept, concepts can't cause things to work. It's like saying a foot works because of biology. Making monitor totally depends on science. Without it we do not know how to make electricity. We do not know how to process material. We do not know how to make chips or LCD. Without science, men don't have monitors. Because we have monitors, it prove the concepts of science r true and right.

Exactly making the monitor depends on science. But like you said it's the materials, the chips and the LCD which causes the monitor to work.
