I think its a good message too.
Its not really a new or revolutionising message, it has been preached before by many great preachers in Singapore too.
Its a good reminder for churches who have become lawless and Godless over time.
The best part of his sermon is that, it is true, we shall know a tree by its fruits, which is shown in the lifestyle of the people.
In this day and age, there're churches that are lawless and Godless.
There're churches taking grace to an extreme, saying we shouldn't be "sin conscious", so we don't think about sin, don't think about changing lifestyle, just be happy and be merry.
Its one thing to accept sinners, accept people who're still not perfect, but its another thing to say: its ok....let's just be happy and not be "sin conscious". That is a lie from the devil.
In a very subtle way, they didn't say it out in plain, but its basically saying its ok to sin, and there's no need to follow the Law. They call the law obsolete, since we're in grace.
Once again, look at the fruits of the believers and their lifestyle. Do they become more like Jesus, more serving, more giving, more obedient to God, or do they become encouraged to be without law, selfish, self-centered, self-glorifying.
That is the broad way that leads to destruction, yet they call themselves Christians.
