What good does arguments bring?

  Our forum revolves around arguements almost everyday.
  
  It is interesting to discuss what benefits does it bring for either side.
  
  I think that argumnets can widen a person's perspective and learn to be persuasive in language.

  Technically arguments are for self-high only. Arguments in forums do not change anything and most of the time people are only interested in arguing their point of view but not listening. Good entertainment value though.

  An argument could be to inquire, persuade, convince and to negotiate.

  Many people in our forum STILL cross the line.
  
  I feel that exchange of ideas and views is impt because a lot of times we dont realise how narrow-minded we are untill we talk with a wiser person.
