u know. i can't blame thegoodearth for having doubts.
his type really need the personal touch from God la. an encounter
i had this neighbour also don't believe, then when we hold cell grp invite him, he only come during the fellowship time etc, so he has no knowledge about God or Jesus.
but he came for encounter weekend. and he believed.
so, i just hope thegoodearth will continue his discovery, continue to investigate. then i really do respect his decision from there.

I mean, you can believe it, that is up to you... I have nothing against that, but if you look at it objectively, you will see that actually you have absolutely no basis for attributing it to this or that... it is just a belief that you have...

when you are alone in bed and feeling down and low... it is good to cling on to these kind of beliefs... it helps

It make sense de lah... when you are not worried and stressed out all the time, you will find that you can perform better and when you perform better you will have more to eat and you get to wear better clothes....!

I always tell people this: One believes in god because one cannot believe in humans! How many times have people been played out by another human? Cheated, betrayed, lied to, taken advantaged of, gossiped about, stabbed on the back, stole from, physically abused, murdered, etc. etc. So, do you think you still have faith in humans?
I reckon that many people need a faith (in some supernatural beings) to guide them and to provide help, solace, answers, etc. Whether there is a real god or not, the mere belief helps them either to understand the purpose of life or to be a better person. To me this is found in every religion, faith and philosophy. Nothing troubles us more than the acts of human. Every problem is man-made. But unfortunately, these problems cannot be easily solved. So, who do we look to? In ancient times, when laws are not so well developed and rules, justice and fairness cannot be exercised, people looked towards god - a potent and omipotent being who can dispense justice, or protect them from the evils of human (not spirits!!!).
Today, the belief in god is no different from ancient times. However, it is even more twisted, bigoted, subverted and perverted! While a major part of religious teaching is moral, many are flawed like the idea of sins and saviour!
