what is the purpose of life [discuss]

What is the purpose of life for you personally?
Let us put aside useless impratical books and talks and 'encouraging' quotes. Express your OWN opinion about life.
To me, life on earth is a torture. The faster you die and go heaven the better.
Everyday we study, (at least this is what i am aware of) and sudy with no games or entertainment because we are supposed to use our time fully to the maximum constructively and being a student is our first priority and 'job'. So we use all our time to study and do homework everyday because thats our duty.
Then there is adult life(speculation) everyday working like a peice of paper.
Which is why, the quicker and swift God can call us back to heaven the lesser we have to be tortured, the more blessed we are. -

yes, life on earth may be a torture at times. but your afterlife may not be a better life for you either. so it may not mean dying is a good thing. -

I did not change my stand. I merely added my views. In the first post i said that life on earth is torturous. The faster you die the better. The second one i said, since we still havent die(duh..) we should gladly accept living in this place.
The reason for discussion is to get a best result/ answer. Perhaps when two persons reach a conclusion whereby both are agreeable to, it is the better 'best'. It is foolish to stubbornly stand by a wrong stand, and when one realises his wrong stand, one should change it.

Christ's death and resurrection does not mean that we should sit around and wait for death.
You don't wait to go heaven, but you are to bring heaven to earth by living the life God intends. You are to be that heaven to reflect God's goodness to the people around you. -

Opportunities for what? That is your own decision. To make yourself a better person by studying, learning, working, enjoying? Or to set yourself on a course of distruction by, skivving, sinking into depression, questioning your existence? It's all up to you!
Lastly, like it or not, you are growing. Would you rather not grow? Again, that's easy, jump off a tall building, all growing will stop immediately.
Life is an experience, sometimes bad sometimes good, but all the time new. It's all in the choices that we make. -
