So can Christians play arcade?
Well, there will always be dumb-s who'd pay tons of money to grab the cutest soft toy in the machine... as well the other dumb-s who'd dump coins into the arcade game to whack the boss. Their money, their business.
I'm just wondering how many self-respecting Christians who'd continually indulge in such activities.
Maybe the issue is: What is considered as gambling? To those who think that toto is not gambling and attempts to split hair as to what gambling is then perhaps going to the movie is a gamble. Because then, one can argue that one is staking the cost of the movie ($9 on the weekend?) for the possibility of being entertained. If one does not enjoy the movie, then can we say that the gamble did not pay off. That being the case, I lost when I watched Epic Movie.
Or
I gamble with my life when I cross the road (especially not at traffic junctions and in heavy traffic) in that I am staking my life for a chance to get to other side. I win when I get to the other side alive and I lose when I get hit by a car. That being the case, I won this morning and I intend to keep my winning streak.
So then what is this "gambling" we are talking about? So are we going to say that "ok, I am not addicted, therefore I am not gambling!" or "I am not in it for the money" or "I only do it for fun" or "I donate money to Singapore Pools so that they can do charity work"
Non-Christians who think that Toto is not gambling, it's your prerogative, no issue with me.
Christians who think that Toto is not gambling, go check with your pastor.
At the end of the day these Christians who still think that it's not gambling, you do not need to justify to anyone else here in EH as to what your stand is, it's between you and God.
