Sometime ago, there was someone(christian leader) who guaranteed that reading Chicken Soup for the Soul will be enriching and enhance my outlook of life.

to elaborate a bit, the school doesn't teach you Chicken Soup - it teaches you psychology and philosophy.
Similarly .. why read Purpose Driven Life which even dave can summarize? -
Creationism is hard because you need to be competent in the sciences. Knowledge is indeed power, the power to construct or destory.
Systematic Theology is not a book. I mean it is a book (actually many books by different authors) but we are not targeting any specific book. We are targeting the topics, the big ideas.
There are only two important topics in Systematic Theology - Christology and Soteriology.

We have a thread here started by someone who only read half the book, and he is obviously not capable to offer any opinion. Then there was discussion about why this thread should not be closed, then there was discussion about guarentee to learn something new, but anyone here read the book? or we really need to improve the rating?
I was given the book, read and can agree on what was said in the first 7 days, but many questions came out from then on, I stopped. Don't understand how many churches can use this for BS discussions. -
