Why just rely on Dave? Sometimes, we may have to explore both human psyche and spritituality at the same time. But my idea on the topic is that the human mind hates ennui(boredom) hence it should be a multiple-goal orientated life. Hopefully, this can minimise the occurence of people from starting flame-baits. It will discourage people from starting controversial topics without the intent of having a cordial discussion. Or for people to start a thread and then "watch the fun".

if you ask for my comments. I bore off(correct usage??) reading after the 'half' of the book as i found this Rick Warren was only repeating his point again and again. Purpose of life is to live for God. -

I can't give a lot of comments on the book since I, too, stopped at less than 1/3 into the book. Yes I agree, it's boring. My cell group tried to view the video series, but we also stopped halfway. Very boring.
Another thing I couldn't accept was the use of certain Bible translations which seems very off the tangent to me. -
