  Eating it is not a like taking potion, you suddenly get intelligence plus infinity. Eating from the tree is simply an act of man disobeying God, wanting to take control of his own life.
  
  Yes we still have no idea what is good and evil, at least not completely.

  No one says u get to be super smart but at least u should know wat is good and evil. But tat doesn't happens. Then wat is the use of the fruit ? And wat is wrong with men taking control of his life ?

  I don't want to discredit what the early Christian pioneers had done. But I believe that the bible must be interpreted actively (and corporately) as more knowledge is revealed. I don't think Genesis can be taken literally completely.

  I have time and again said that Biblical reading has to take into consideration the linguistic nuances as well as cultural implication plus factor in the limitation of the English language...

  I think the latter part of the argument is about the fruit fromt he tree of knowledge of good and evil. I was blamed to be reading literally the "knowledge of good and evil" which I take it as knowledge of good and evil. In fact the bible also claim

  4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
  
  So how else will u read the effect of the fruit from the tree of "knowledge of good and evil"

  the fruit might be allegorical in the sense the fruit itself doesn't have the power to grant you the knowledge of good and evil.
  
  it could be the process. God might have forseen the serpent would one day tempt the first couple.

  Isn't the effect after eating shown in the later passage ? note the word "eyes of them were opened", similarly to the effect mentioned by the snake

  Tat is written in the bible. If u ask me why god ask him to take care of the garden and the particularly dangerous tre,, I find it to be stupid of god himself and one of the reason why the story is silly.

  You can't differentiate whether it is because of the fruit or because of the process.
  
  It could be because of the act of disobeying for the first time. There is a thought process, the stage of contemplation, before Eve reached for the fruit.
  
  This stage is crucial. If you understand what's happening in that contemplation, all the confusion will clear.
  
  I give you a clue. Abstinence. Cannot piak before you marry. Let's say you religiously follow this teaching, then one day you contemplate .. why cannot piak? Then you start giving all the excuses. And you finally piak! A precedence is set. Your mind is "corrupted". From then on, it is very hard to follow the teaching again. If there is a first time, a second time is most likely, then a third, a fourth etc.
  
  By the way, in layman's term .. you just ate a fruit before you piak - the forbidden fruit! In chinese, we say you tou1 chi1 jin4 guo3.

  he was asked to take care of the garden .. other trees included.

  I think tat is forced because in the bible itself it already described it a sudden miraculous event as decribed by their "eyes opened". Furthermore the name of the fruit is performing the function is described. I don't see why the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (I just described it as fruit from now on... so long to type !) is not one tat give the knowledge of good and evil. It is like saying cough medicine is not used for cough but used for watering plants ! And there is nowhere in the passage tat says the fruit is not giving wisdom nor the snake is lying.
  
  For your piak piak example. u already stated yourself tat u won't suddenly go and piak piak every girl immediately after u piak piak one. It will be a slow gradual process where u will piak piak more often. The fruit, after eating give a sudden effect. Tis is different from your example

  are they naked before they eat this fruit? why before that not ashamed and no hidding from God?

  The effect is evident after you piak piak.
