  As part of the church library comittee, i would like to know what kind of books you people as christians recomend to be put in a church library.
  
  Pls suggest any titles or reputable authors that you think are good. Just shoot the names.

  2) History of your denomination
  
  3) History of the Reformation and theologies of the Reformers.

  i feel the author is biased towards freud, so its appropriate in a christian library.

  not that I am not willing to give you some titles, but wouldn't your congregation be a better place to start? you need to look into the profile of your congregation and decide what age groups are more predominant. This will then translate into the kind of books that you might want to purchase. Check with your church office to see if they already have a special deal with some bookstores or bookrooms.

  a. they are non denominational
  
  b. they are not proud of their denomination => there is de-emphasis of denomination.
  
  They advertise themselves as a purpose driven church. So maybe should buy all the Rick Warren books.

  It depends on the goal/vision of the church you're going. If your church, for example, focuses more on the mission fields, it will be good to equip the library with more materials on missions.
  
  Generally, the books from the following authors are pretty good:
  
  (1) Max Lucado
  (2) Charles Swindoll
  (3) Joyce Myer
  (4) Phillip Yancey
  (5) Rick Warren
  (6) Gary Chapman
  (7) Nicky Gumbel
  etc
