Out of curiosity, how can one label another denomination as cult? All these 'cults' can prove its belief with Scripture and the orthodox denomination has no infallible authority to decree whose intepretation are correct except Scripture which is where these 'cults' beliefs get credence from. Of course it begets another question about whose intepretation is correct, but thats another story.
So in my opinion the term 'cults' used by mainstream protestant is very self-righteous. -

By its definition, Catholicism and every Christian prior to the Reformation is a cult??? Not a good definition.They all claim special revelation and privilege and those that use the Bible invariably interpret it in disharmony with standard biblical understanding

Indeed Christianity is founded on blood sacrifice. Even the most important sacrament is about eating flesh and blood.
