New christian always very on one.. after a while.........

  Fallen away Catholics tend to become anti-Catholics as they lack any understanding. majority of Catholics today lack any understanding in their faith due to the horrible catechism. Singapore catechism is reallie horribly stupid.
  
  I feel its not the Church fault but the individual. If you become Christian without understanding that Christiniaty is about sacrifice and waiting in trembling for your salvation as St Paul told us, you had come for the wrong reason. My friends in the Charismatic denomination tend to accept Christ as thier Saviour and know nothing else. Majority of them had left the Church and they feel something is missing.
  
  For me personally, I cannot have God as my Father without the Catholic Church as my Mother. She has given me knowledge of my salvation, the Bible, numerous Saints for me to attempt to emulate and most importantly my Lord in flesh every Sunday. I am truly grateful for that.
  
  We should not set ourselves to judge our brothers or sisters. Satan will seek division among our ranks. We will pray for those who have fallen away.

  Yes, loneliness is a big discourager, the only way to deal with this is .... try knowing the person sitting beside you. no need to wait for others to make the first move, for all you know, he also new there and also looking for a friend.

  why are you "lonely" when you have God in your life?

  Dunno leh .. 'cos Opus Dei is a prelature but it is not extreme to me at all.

  While Catholics have rituals, practices and "questionable" beliefs, there is no escape from the fact that they are believers of Christ. Catholics also practice baptism in the name of the Trinity and observe the sacraments. And most importantly they follow the same Christology as Protestants.
  
  I attended their services before. The place reminds me of CHC when they are still worshipping in Hollywood cinema.

  The parish boundaries exist to allow pastors to maintain jurisdiction over certain areas. It helps with the division of labour I guess. But the parish should be the cornerstone of the Catholic's faith life. Where else is a better place to practise your faith than in your neighbourhood?

  1) Know the Catholic Church teachings
  2) Use bible to gain greater understanding of those teachings
  3) Read Tradition to fully understand
  4) Praise God in unison
  
  Protestant
  
  1) Read the Bible
  2) Join a denom which has a similiar understanding
  3) Pray and praise God in unison.

  Reading the bible alone no use one. If not, why one bible give rise to 36000 denominations?
  
  The key is to study God's words. Go for Systematic Theology. Acquaint yourself with ideas from the Greats.
