  I feel each side has their own view to it.
  
  Catholic: Protestants abandoning thier doctrines and returning back to the Church like how the Eastern Catholics did throughout history.
  
  Protestants: Common acceptance and invisble unity. Agreement on the essentials but differ on the secondary etc etc.
  
  Correct me if I am wrong?

  Go there and look look see see should be all right. Weddings and funerals should be all right. But habitually, not acceptable.
  
  I've heard of some interesting cases though. The father is catholic, the mother is methodist. They have one daughter and one son. So the son goes to the catholics and the daugther to the methodists. Heh.
