I dun have much to share as my marriage was a very simple affair with only my mum's & my wife's grandmother's blessings.
But what I advise is that keep the budget in control. Dun overspend. I know couples who overspend and end up in debts which took quite a while to clear. Although once in a lifetime but also be careful about it.

organised means the shop will do the organising for you, including location ...etc.
own time/own target means you do all these work yourself.
for my case, I had both, cause the wedding photo package did not cover the church wedding, so I have to enage another photography shop to cover that (likely the shop owner is my friend, so can afford a lot of flexibilityand discount also) -

Regarding bridal shoots, if you are not taking photos as part of the package, it boils down to logistic and coordination. You need to discuss if it's possible to take out the gowns and suits for photo-taking. You may also need to get a separate make-up artist. -

you going to get those ready made ones or those design and made to order type? If its the latter, then maybe should start checking out on the designers and also the printing co (and cost also). -

I got mine at 197K. Premium flat. 5 room. everything done. Just need to fix kitchen cabinets and sink and buy furnitures and electrical appliances. Location very cold at night. No need air con use fan already shivering sometimes especially during monsoon season. Saved a lot. Location wise not so good as it didn't matter to me and my wife since we both have individual personal vehicles to go to work. But now the public transport is very much improved at my place that I occasionally take bus to work since it's free.
Budget control can be a chore. Just pay for functionality and dun let the 'once in a lifetime' control your expenditure.
Will pray for your wisdom to lead your newly established family unit. -

what is a Premium flat ah?

It's a partially renovated flat. Flooring, doors, electrical power points, kitchen tiles, toilet, windows all done up by HDB. Except the kitchen you need to fit the cabinet, sink, stove and water & gas pipes. I using SP gas. Very Convenient. Never regretted till now. That time got free gas water heater.
I must really thank God for this house. I had a lot of problems on lodgings and I lost my bunk when I was transferred to a stay out dept at that time. I don't want to rush into buying a house at that time. So really recce a lot to buy one. Finally was led to this house. Up till now, I thank God for his grace as my previous job and current job are all within 10mins drive away. My current job even have a straight bus too.
Saved on renovations very much. Didn't have much money that time when I got married. My wife lost her job also. During the SARS peak period. We were left with only 1/2 of our monthly income. So must control the budget very well. But Thank God, those hard days were over. Now everything is stable and planning for a baby next year.
Young couples always have a lot of problems. My advise is not to rush into buying things. Take a good look before you commit. Buy only when there's a need. Trust God to lead you
