Is it biblical to believe that spirits can reside in idols?

we all know that training to deeply into qigong can allow one to see spirits.
Well, there is a pastor who was once a buddist, and has trained in qiqong to a very deep level. This pastor, sort of specilaises in driving evil spirits away(gan gui), of course,with the name of jesus christ. There have been many cases of spirits that dwells in those japanese bells(dont know what you call them) and stuffed toys.
Therefore, I think it is best not to touch these stuffs.... -

It is not about whether spirits reside in idols. It is what/who you associate this idols to. And God clearly states that you should not do it in Exodus 20:3-5.

If only those different authors can unite and write books of various topics, it would be very good cos you would only need to read one book per topic. eg, there are so many books on free will. Am i supposed to read them all? -
Unless you read books to admire their prose, it is better to read what others have to say about that particular person or topic. For example, a book on Calvin or Luther will summarise their theological outlook. No need to read their actual work 'cos read liao can sleep. What we want are the big ideas, not the details. For example a good book on Luther will tell you Christianity is one big paradox. This idea is very profound.
Sproul is considered easy liao .. you read the reviews (by readers) they tell you it is simple to the point of not teaching you anything. I guess it is a good intro bah. -
I dun think there's a straight answer from the Bible. But I remember that one of the 10 commandments is : Thou shalt have no engraven image unto me.
