Can pastor hold a platinum card and own club memberships?

I know of a pastor who has a privileged credit card and bought an expensive club membership (not those cheap cheap CDANS or SAFRA kind).
Are they allowed to do that?

Technically they can.. but how pple will see of them is another matter altogether

actually, what is bothering is not that they got such stuff, but how they manage to earn enough to splurge on such luxuries

IMO, church ministers MUST NOT draw salary.
They can get allowance for their day to day spending. But the amount should be limited to only enough to sustain basic expenditure such as food, drinks, transport - NOT some prestigious memberships or condominium.

my POSB Everyday Card also says platinum...
on the same note, what do you think of pastors who drive mercs or bmws or other flashy cars? -
have you seen nuns shopping, monks in expensive cars, pastors molesting, or clerics have 40 wives, teachers go to pubs, CEO of charity organization want gold tap and high salary, highest paid ministers in the world still want yet another salary increase, kids getting aids, etc.

This world has all sorts of logic. Ask a bank robber why he has done what he did and he will say he's right to to do so.
Obviously the pastor thinks he has every right to own a platinum card and still serve God wholeheartedly. Many many others think the same way. Most Catholics like myself would beg to differ though. -

Cannot la .. church ministers are NOT priests or nuns. They have a family to support. They have kids to feed. -

Anyways, whatever is collected, he manage right? So who can say... maybe donations are generious. Paster take 10% and it still come up to 5 digit salary. So he take loh. 90% also save up for a rainy day loh.
Why you question pasters owning material stuff. I don't think they renounce themselves from material things... Besides we don't know the truth behind all these cards.. -

If your congregation not very big or the members are poor, then 3500 to 5000 a month will be questionable. -
This is sad. Serving the church as a minister was once upon a time, a noble job, a religious vocation, God's calling etc. But today's Christians have turned it into a highly salaried job, like a MD or CEO in any MNC.
