You have to work on you title name.Originally posted by omit:http://www.ldolphin.org/CSLtrinity.html
That is why He warned people to 'count the cost' before becoming Christians. 'Make no mistake; He says, 'if you let me, I will make you perfect. The moment you put yourself in My hands, that is what you are in for. Nothing less, or other, than that. You have free will, and if you choose, you can push Me away. But if you do not push Me away, understand that I am going to see this job through. Whatever suffering it may cost you in your earthly life, whatever inconceivable purification it may cost you after death, whatever it costs Me, I will never rest, nor let you rest, until you are literally perfect-until my Father can say without reservation that He is well pleased with you, as He said He was well pleased with me. This I can do and will do. But I will not do anything less.'

I suspect David doesn't know mere christianity is.
If it were you would you use that title?Originally posted by sillyme:Let him explain lor
cmon lah, dont laugh at me like that. Its just IMO. from my err....15 years of experience...Originally posted by Icemoon:Conclusion - CS Lewis came out with a poor title.
Ok. If it is a small thing, then ignore lor.Originally posted by davidche:If it were you would you use that title?
Its very hard to reason this kind of things cos everyone has their opinions.
But mere Christianity. A glance at the title, it doesnt tell you anything about the passage itself. No info, no nothing. It has the same effect as (space).
If lets say there are lotsa threads. How do i choose which ones i am interested to read in? From the title of course. Same as books. A good title would indicate the roughly whats it is about and hopefully be attractive.
Whats more, the M by right should be caps..
Anyways, these are just small things. Purely IMO.

By the way, Mere Christianity is the title of the book which the threadstarter, omit, has referenced. Hence, it is titled 'mere christianity'. So the title, in my opinion, is appropriate. Only thing I hope is that perhaps, omit could have added some of his own thoughts.
When it's a small thing, you should have left it alone in the first place.Originally posted by davidche:yup.

I would keep my trap shut if I were you. Make a stupid comment and subsequently give that excuse of lacking of experience.Originally posted by davidche:cmon lah, dont laugh at me like that. Its just IMO. from my err....15 years of experience...
Conclusion dave thinks he's better than CS Lewis....Originally posted by Icemoon:Conclusion - CS Lewis came out with a poor title.
I am afraid that this title is a lot better than all those you have managed. If you are incapable of doing anything right, you should just watch and learn, and refrain from commenting.Originally posted by davidche:You have to work on you title name.
The real issue is not whether it's a small thing or not, but whether this thing is relevant or appropriate or not.Originally posted by davidche:I say small things because i dont want it to evolve into a argument just because theres a clash of opinions.
x2..... good the article may have been, sometimes I just wish that folks would refrain from merely posting links only. As always, some personal comments, either from the opinion or the application standpoint will make reading more interesting.Originally posted by sillyme:.... in my opinion, is appropriate.
