Oh .. Unker can recommend you those books. I think he recommended "Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers".

2. God created humans because the essential and defining attribute of the Creator is an infinite and unbounded desire to give and share of itself. As Rabbi Moshe Luzzatto put it, "The purpose of creation was to bring into being a creature who could desire pleasure from the goodness of God". (copied from a book I'm reading now)

since Adam is the gardener .. maybe god needed him to water the tree? Ok .. at least prune the tree.Originally posted by ghimpheng:[/color]
but god do not need to put them near the special tree and why do he need to create the devil indirectly
and they are suppose to be angel =/ if the angel turn evil the angel should have be dead seeing god why is he not dead ? and satan even lead around half of the angels to join him in the dark forces so why aren't they dead under the holiness of god ???
In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God,and the word was God (st. John 1:1)Originally posted by ghimpheng:i still don't see the answer to explain the questions asked
ok there 2 question and we have been targetting the main one (above the devil) do post about why god created humans
1) Why Do God Have To Create (The Devil - Satan) - it is indirectly creating evil
2) Why Do God Have To Create humans - ok he MAY create humans to entertain himself BUT why PUT A TREE beside TO "ALLOW/LURE" if god had not CREATE such amazing tree that contain "GENIUS APPLE" they may just stay pure and holy the rest of the life
So its ok for me lah....not a lot.Originally posted by Icemoon:244 pages.

go and buy lah.... then you can do the exercises in between the chapters. I think it's less than $30 bucks.Originally posted by davidche:Can i ask how thick 'the way' is?
The book ''Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers'' is currently on loan. Other librarys are too far for me. I will have to wait.
The proof is in the Abraham/Isaac and Job scenarios in the bible. If God could foretell 100% that both Abraham and Job would pass the test then both tests are not valid. And lucifer would have good reason to accuse God of being unfair. (note that there is no mention of lucifer accusing God of rigging any tests in the bible)Originally posted by Skibi:I believe that even lucifer knows that God cannot know the future. God can calculate, predict, and even shape the future of those that accept him as God. But not even he(nor lucifer) knows the future of what allegiance mortal man might choose.
No i cant. My family is very thrifty.Originally posted by Chin Eng:go and buy lah.... then you can do the exercises in between the chapters. I think it's less than $30 bucks.
I think it is not a matter of whether the test is rigged or whether God knows the future. Surely God is not waiting to see the result like us waiting for 4D results?Originally posted by Skibi:The proof is in the Abraham/Isaac and Job scenarios in the bible. Can this view be proved with evidence from the bible?Originally posted by Icemoon:I think it is not a matter of whether the test is rigged or whether God knows the future. Surely God is not waiting to see the result like us waiting for 4D results?
I think the tests are more for the protagonist than for God. God might have known the result, but His intention was to let the protagonist face the trial. A question to ponder - do you think there are other protagonists who failed and their failure not recorded in the bible? Maybe someone did sacrifice his son and the angel lamented "I was too slow".
You can say if you know the result, it wouldn't be fair. I say you are looking from hindsight. It is like saying .. if I know Singapore will succeed then the PAP have it easy. They will eventually succeed right?
I say no .. it is because of the trials we faced and the choices made by our leaders that we are what we are today.
My 2 cents (from my little understanding of Judaism). Judaism teaches that it is only when you are able to choose between the good and bad that goodness can be obtained.
wah .. this is a big topic you know. I don't even know where to start.Originally posted by Skibi:Can this view be proved with evidence from the bible?
I'm quite surprise, why didn't you counter question him to prove his viewpoint.Originally posted by Icemoon:wah .. this is a big topic you know. I don't even know where to start.

i already mention if god could not foretell the future how did the bible have the chapters of relevationsOriginally posted by Skibi:The proof is in the Abraham/Isaac and Job scenarios in the bible. Having the power to shape the future and foretelling the future are two very different things. For example, i have to power to go to work tomorrow. Does that mean i can foretell the future by telling everyone that i will go to work tomorrow? And if i do go to work tomorrow - my prediction has come true?Originally posted by ghimpheng:i already mention if god could not foretell the future how did the bible have the chapters of relevations
God never said he could foretell the future 100% in the bible. IMO the idea that God can foresee the future is a pagan view. Lucifer wants people to believe this idea so that they will see God as the source of evil.Originally posted by ghimpheng:simply put in this way if god could not foresee future he is not god
and why did he create the satan = ???
why did he let humans eat the apples if he never wanted humans to eat = ???
Satan was never the enemy of God. Does this help to answer your question?Originally posted by ghimpheng:simply put in this way if god could not foresee future he is not god
