cheers
I know you are trying to eductae me and I thank You for that. But being too harsh is a bad testimony for the non-believers.Originally posted by Chin Eng:yes I am.....
lest I be accused on protecting our brethren when we fall.
when we hope for non-believers to behave, we should also maintain the same standard on our own. how then can we hold our heads high and keep our banners flying if we become sub-standard in watching over ourselves.
What have i said that is wrong?Originally posted by ben1xy:Unker CE nv replies in such a manner. When u do something wrong, he tells u straight. Your answer on the other hand reeks of self-justification and insincerity.
....according to who, dave?Originally posted by davidche:I know you are trying to eductae me and I thank You for that. But being too harsh is a bad testimony for the non-believers.

Am i supposed to accept everything that i am told?
Should i not deny those that are wrongly accused against me?
Was the phrase litteral?
Did i say something wrong that we are not supposed to say the Lord's name in vain?
Self justification should only be used when one is denying his wrongs. For you to say that i am self justifying, you have to prove me wrong first.

Thanks for your explaination. Now i understand.Originally posted by vince69:David,
No, you don't need to accept everything that you were told, but it will benefit you greatly to listen humbly and apply those advises that are tried and benefical to you.
what is fundamentally wrong is this
1) The word "Lord" though is an English word is a very generalised word, what a non-christian means and what a christian means when using this word may very well be different, hence the part about not using the Lord's name in vain don't really holds water.
2) "wtf" on the other hand is a swear word, be it from a christian or non-christian, and cursing and swearing is definitely discouraged.
it is what the fuckOriginally posted by Chin Eng:dave, what's the full phrase of "wtf"? Be honest.
correct! so is it still ok for you to use wtf? and continue to justify your stand?Originally posted by davidche:it is what the fuck
its not swearing, but its a slang for "Oh my God", which falls into your self declared no-no regarding "using the God's name in vain".Originally posted by davidche:Thanks for your explaination. Now i understand.
is oh my gosh considered swearing? they serve the same purpose in a conversation. sort of a exclaimation expression.
