A Touch of Christmas
Many of us remember with fondness the Christmas presents that weÂ’ve received in our lives, from friends; from family; from that special someone. What matters most each time is not how much the present is worth nor if it was what was expected, but the knowledge that we are loved, that someone cares. ItÂ’s a special feeling, the warmth of a human touch.
ThatÂ’s the motivation behind A Touch of Christmas, to reach out to the disadvantaged children in Singapore. Whether they are afflicted with chronic and debilitating illnesses; are staying in homes and orphanages; or suffering in poverty, these children need to know that they are loved.
Share in the joy of giving: take an ordinary box, wrap it up and pack it full of toys and books and clothes and other presents that you can think of. Then write a short note or message to the child and what you have in your hands, is a wonderful gift to a child who needs just that: joy, hope and love.
Have you brought a smile into the lives of those around you? -

i've always wanted to give out as many Christmas gifts to the orphans & the less privilege...
how do i get to do that?
i did organise a small collection booth in office to collect books & clothes to send to the kids to Haiti...but the freight charges are pretty high thou..but for the sake of charity, i shouldnt think of such costs...
i feel that the less privilege in SIN has been pretty well taken care of & we should also show our concern to the other kids in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand whose conditions are much much more worse than SIN -

just an update for this is helping 1 of my friend in the youth grp.....today the entire youth group contrbuted 11boxes

Hmm, my parish also has something like this.
It's very distressing. You have people who wish for Bleach and Washing Powder for Christmas. My mother was sobbing during Mass today. -
