Yep, being rich may even increase believer's faith.
I feel as long as the pastor or the priest do not serve his Ego and become the item of worship, but God is, it's ok. (God blesses his people and wealth is included. Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Job...)
Solomon is very rich but he's humble. After he receive wisdom, he entertained the case of 2 prostitutes and a baby. King of those days don't entertain prostitutes.
Hmmm....i look at references in a different perspective.
Couldn't agree on the Solomon part.
Somehow.
Solomon
-Rich
-Humble
-Wisdom
-King
Just doesn't equate to entertaining the case of prostitudes and a baby.
I could agree that the passage intent is to present King Solomon's humbleness and wisdom. It clear that the passage wasn't talking about how this king entertained the 2 harlots.
The writer wrote on King Solomon's demostration of WISDOM.
I couldn't agree on the assumption that Kings of those days will do that.
Just because it is not written in the bible. It is not wise to conclude that Kings those days don't have proper dealings with his people, namely harlots or lepers.
But you're free to read between the lines anyway.
Just a thought.
If being rich may even increase a believer's faith.
Why aren't the apostles rich?
Yet they chose the humble route to faith.
I'm not saying being rich is no good.
But...does riches actually increase a person's faith?
Just a cheeky thought.
Take cover!!!
