I think the ultra charismatic church you're talking about is VFC?
Precisely, it's because of the apostlic era that the church is powerful. And every believers are challenged to their beliefs even without the word of God.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:So what? They are dead now.
The Apostles have sucessors, and the Holy Spirit works through them.Originally posted by M©+square:Precisely, it's because of the apostlic era that the church is powerful. And every believers are challenged to their beliefs even without the word of God.
There wasn't a proper bible. But there are true witnesses and miracles and power of the Holy Spirit. The intensity of Holy Spirit's work was most intensive and most evident, i believe.
To compare this era and the apostlic era, you're able to confidently say No problem. I'd have to say you either you know what you're saying and dare to stand with it. Or you have too much confidence.
Do you believe that there are people of this Era who are the successors of of the Apostle?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:The Apostles have sucessors, and the Holy Spirit works through them.
No Bible? No problem, for there's oral tradition.
There is still the HOLY SCRIPTURES.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:No problem, there wasn't a proper Bible when Jesus founded the Church back then.

Not True, OT Scriptures provides a framework for us to understand the NT, in term of the whys? like why does Jesus have to be Baptised by John the Baptist, ... even more so, why does Jesus have to suffer and died on the cross? ..etc
Why, thank you!Originally posted by M©+square:Do you believe that there are people of this Era who are the successors of of the Apostle?

Hmm...very positive and ideal. Good good.

One of my favourites too. You strum ?Originally posted by vince69:I like this song
Heart Of Worship
Capo 1 (chords relative to capo)
When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring that's of worth
That will bless Your heart
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
It's all about you, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about you, Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

I wish I can strum,... haha... totally blur when it comes to musical instrumentsOriginally posted by klydeer:One of my favourites too. You strum ?
Sometimes, i would sing this song as a self check against a desire to use the time of worship to satisfy my own flesh, rather than drawing near to God and glorifying Him.
Wonder what Matt specifically refers to when he said: "I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it".
