A service is a whole package.
If the sermon is boring, at least there is the worship session and the Lord's Supper. -
Can enlighten me? You don't have to go to church to be a good christian right? Or am I wrong?

Churches in other countries, somehow dont develop this habit like what Chin said, its always the western countries.
The people really lack their respect for God. And when i first saw them its like WTH they actually have their phones on. Well, seems like having handphones on is a normalty

3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
Note- Bible says church leader must be "ABLE TO TEACH"
The church will have not followed the Bible if a person who cannot teach is appointed as a preacher.........
So.......can you blame the poor man in the pew for a boring sermon? Make excuses for the preacher? If a man cannot teach, he should not take up a pulpit ministry!
But this is NOT an excuse for anyone to forsake the church.......Make sure you go to church, david... -
Some got, others cannot. Not easy to enforce discipline. Even pastors have made pulpit announcement also may not work. Unfortunately, pastoral team not too vocal about things like these.Originally posted by Icemoon:you got tell them off or not?

many have said that you don't need to church to worship God - true, up to a point. Scripture lessons have taught that the believers of God need to gather in one place as one body for this worship to take place.
here's not to say that everyone that goes to church is a good christian. it's the other way round, a good christian will make efforts to take part in a communal worship - does not absolutely have to be a church building. -

Beijing has a few? nice churches built during the Qing Dynasty, no doubt influenced by the Jesuit missionaries.
