Are we supposed to laugh at ppl??

Since im a teenager, im facing alot of difficulties whether or not to laugh at ppl.
Serious: sometimes my firends participate in pranks on other ppl and i dont know whether i shld join in them and make fun of ppl. Even my christian friends does tat.
I have a group of close friends who are very good in their studies. The only problem i hv with them is that they like to lagh at ppl behind others' backs, which i really hate. But i still get along them quite well.

Just be yourself.
If you find that the group is not your type then get a new group.
But the most important thing is just be who you are and don't be afraid of expressing yourself. Others would appreciate you for this.

If you can laugh at yourself, its another milestone

My family members have learnt to laugh at ourselves and at each other. Can be quite fun when no malice is intended.
Playing pranks is part of growing up. Again the world "malice" comes into mind. As long as it is good clean fun, and among friends, it's ok.
Gossip - again cannot be avoided. It is also not easy to define what is gossip and what is just chit chat.
Everything hinges on the intention of these things done and spoken.
Back to my family - we do not make fun or laugh at the disable, or another race, or another religion. People that we see doing dumb things, that's another issue altogether. -

The word laugh is found only five times in the canonical Gospels, and only once is it a good thing (Luke 6:21). In none of these places is Jesus the one who is laughing. In the Gospel of Judas, which is a little more than 3000 words (you have probably read longer blog posts), laugh is found nine times in four places where Jesus is laughing. In each case, he is laughing at the disciples or Judas, in each case he is asked why, and in each case he gives a lame answer akin to, “I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing with you!”

But then i wanted to brw a damn pencil frm him and he said no cos i called him name.
So yeah......the thing is nt whether you have the intention but rather whether the person thinks you have. -

This is the famous [negative] Golden Rule in ethics. Some have called it the Silver Rule. In wikipedia, the Silver Rule is phrased differently, so there is some confusion ..
From the bible, Gospel of Matthew 7:12 (NIV):12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Laugh at ppl? Laugh WITH ppl better. Laugh at ppl behind their back? Try laughing at them, IN FRONT of them. Then you see those who get laughed at, see how hurt they are, how angry they are, how disappointed they are.

In my place of work, we call each other names and no harm comes off it. No issue.
If you have a friend who's thin-skinned then it's best not to joke with him. Obviously names that are totally deragotory is probably not good.
If you can live your life totally stoic, then it's probably ok not to joke, but I don't think that it is feasible.
