  I'm not sure how much royalties Hillsong United earn from their albums, but if the Vatican were to form a music group, like Vatican United, they will sell. Heck .. they have 1 billion? (how many Catholics in the world?) potential audience you know.

  The liturgy is meant to glorify God, not us. It becomes dangerous when liturgists use the Mass to merely showcase their talents.

  Personally, I think that certain forms of music should be kept outside of church. There should be a certain solmenity in church, and music plays a great part in preserving this sense of the sacred.
  
  I guess it's all right to use replacement hymns, but church directives prefer plainsong and chant.
