When i first trusted in Christ alone for salvation, i could not describe the overwhelming joy and peace that engulfed me. I felt i was taken to heaven for a nanosecond and back. It was like an atomic bomb of joy was placed inside me and left there to explode. For a while I thought: "Waw!!!! was that heaven?!!!?"
I do not know what it was, i don't know how to describe it really. But when i read the Bible, I saw something there that describes how I felt that moment. Here it is:
1Pe 1:8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
1Th 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
6 And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
Rom. 15:13: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Those words i underlined are not only words to me. When i read them for the first time i knew what Paul and Peter meant. I experienced them
It's like a foretaste of heaven my friend. Like you said it is undescribable....the sweet peace...the ecstatic joy.......it is better experienced than described. -

When i walk into the chapel and saw the cross for the first time, i see in my mind someone look just like Jesus whipping a poor girl and killing ppl and the whole place is filled with cute angels but they are all murdering and torturing ppl. Man, at that time, i think i just enter hell and i swear to myself that i will be anti-christian forever and ever.
