A christians defence against satan

I shall start this thread tmr. No opinions pls.

The lord Jesus Christ has overcome Satan at the cross; therefore, Christians can claim God's promise of help when they resist the Devil, causing him to flee(James4:7). But our resistence must be "standing firm in faith"(1Peter 5:9). We can best thwart Satans designs on us by daily yielding ourselves to the Lord in prayer and by putting on the whole armour of God(eph 6:10-17)
We can also defend ourselves against satan in other ways
--We can avoid the extreme or trying to see Satan behind every misfortune without reconising our personal responsibility and choice for our actions.
--Equally dangerous, however, is being so lulled by the sophistication of our age that we are unaware of Satan and his wiles against us in the spiritual battle in which every true believer is engaged.

--We can develop "renewed mind" by knowing biblical principles(Rom 12:2)
--We can avoid tempting circumstances or dabbling around the edges of things that seems harmless:" Let no one be found amongyou...who practises devineation or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in whichcrafts, or cast spells or who is a meduim or spiritist or who consults the dead"(deut 18:10-11)
--We shld decern whether sources that claim to be true(such as ouji board, tarot crads computer games, tv shows and movies) are indeed of God:" Test the spirits to see whether they are from God"(1John 4:1)
--We can use Michael's phrase: the Lord rebuke you" when temptations come.
--Never claim or steal Gods glory. "Angels speel out the tenderness of God's love, meet a desperate need; then they r gone.
Angels never draw attention to themselves but ascribe the glory to the Lord"by billy graham
once again, 100% hand written and taken form the book.

The following are my personal opinions on additional points:
- Remember and practice the greatest commandments of Love (Matt 22:37-40, 1 Cor 13:13). For we all ought to know that God is Love, and the devil is God's 180-degree opposition, which means being evil is having absence of Love. Evil shall not completely overcome us if we have even a slight trace of Love within our heart and spirit.
- If you know how to pray in tongues, use it when facing difficulties (Rom 8:26-27). In this way, your spirit will intercede for yourself in praying to the Holy Spirit Himself, Who will strengthen your spirit. But, if you do not know how to pray in tongues, do NOT even try, for the devil can give devilish tongues as well.
- Christ died for mankind once and for all, by replacing the blood of a sacrificial lamb with His own precious Blood. Have faith and always call on the Blood of Jesus to cover us when facing difficulties or fear.
- Remember the promises of God for eternal life (Jn 10:10) in any circumstances. Do not treat challenges in life as a means of forsaking God, for hardships will eventually leads us to hope on God (Rom 5:3-6). Once we forsake God, the devil will work overtime to claim our souls. -

SOme christians are just so irresponsible. Anything that goes wrong they blame Satan. Poor Satan!
Anything that goes well they say its an act of God and they praise god. What Irony!
They dont attribute themselves to anything that happens to them in life! -
Saint Michael the Archangel,

Remember, Satan can counterfeit almost everything God gives us. The only weapon we can use, and where Satan cannot counterfeit, is Love. -

i believe many a time, tongues are usually being refers as "an unknown tongues" which means even the person itself might not understand.
1 Corinthians 14
talk about speaking in tongues. The prayer is prayingg to God not man so we should not understand. it only edify himself. So most of the time it's like it should be done private i guess. so he mind his own business i mind my own, so i'm not really worried. speaking in tongues refers to "praying in the spirit", the Holy Spirit.
so Devilish tongues maybe someone with an evil spirit praying? chunting probably.
And how we how should we look out for false messiah. Follow the discription written in the book of Revelation on how he will come...i think.

this looks like some anti-christ writing. i'll read it up and hopefully can see some sense to his writing. i believe he must have misunderstood the bible. which i was before and many people had.

That is a interesting site, it have many information which is a classic example of reading only 1 verse and comment without the important meanings and details before and after. God never put small details to make the bible thicker but small details may modify the meaning.
This is a Dangerous piece of writting! if i wasn't exposed to teaching on reading in context and details, i will be fooled! i have read a few articles on what he wrote and compared the bible chapter on it the meaning is totally different.
the first articles that caught my eyes is Jesus lied. because
1) he's not saved - pray and let me be saved!
2) move my mountains.
Jesus never lied, but neither did he said in any verse it will be given immedately unto you.
this guy may be the next Paul. only time will tell. have you heard of people from old time wrestling, Jake the snake robert? million dollar man ? well, they became Evangelist. even have stroies how they are in the dark side and then ,move to the light.
the fig tree was curse today but the effect took place the next day spoted by peter. you never know that when he truly pray for that mountain to be removed , few months or years later , construction came and flatten the mountain and throw it into the sea for reclaimation.
i found this book " Lost Mountain: A Year in the Vanishing Wilderness." on mountains being removed by people.
"Mt. St. Helens: Nature and Science" talks about North side of the mountain "disappeared" instantly after an eruption.

finally on Ritual Human Sacrifice.
On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you."
abraham knows God's heart therefore he told his servants WE will be back. not I will be back.
and therefore he know that the "Lord will provide the sacrifice" and it did happened. so he never lie
this picture is about the father sacrifice the son. because of this act, God can rightfully sent Jesus to Sacrifice on the behalf of men to shut the mouth of Satan.
after looking at that site and few articles he had wrote, i can truly say it's DANGEROUS!!! it's like using John3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. then say God is bad , he sent his son to destory the world, give suffering and say anything he wants. NO! it's written as "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I don't even bother to read the rest! it CANNOT be based on it's misleading and cunning! God bless that man. christian should not be led by this...for the sake of others, DO NOT INTRODUCE HIS site unless you want them to understand the importance of reading the bible in details! -

on a second thought, i think we should expose people to that site to create free will and after that (in Jesus's Name) they will be exposed to the truth. and i can say they will grow and know how GOOD is our GOD.
