What is "Heaven" to you?

I would like to know wat the opinion of "Heaven" is to the general forumers here.
As for me, "Heaven" is a holding place until the original plan of Adam & Eve for God is completed. -

[i do not understand why the King James Version of the Bible translated it as singular: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth]. It is clear in Hebrew that it is plural.
We can look for the word 'heavens' in a concordance and find that 'heavens' would refer to three: a) the immediate heavens above us, the firmament --the blue sky. b) then we have the stellar heavens wherein we have our planets, stars and other heavenly bodies. c) then lastly the third one, we have the third heaven--where Paradise now is [continue reading 2 Cor. 12].
2Co 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
'third heaven'--- that's where our Lord physically ascended to in His resurrected glorified body. -
I've heard of beliefs of 3, 9 and 13 heavens.

Well, i dun believe that a Heaven is something objective. but something subjective to yourself. For example, if you feel very contended and happy with the companion of your loved ones, you will feel as if you are in Heaven. That is Heaven to me, it is not a place built where someone promise to bring there when i die.

Why Christians always say" Believe in Lord and you will go to Heaven when you die"? Have you ever ask yourself why you want to go to Heaven? That's I believe that Heaven is assumed by majority of us to be a place of eternal happiness, something similiar to the idea of utopia. By this very assumption, we can be in Heaven even when we are on Earth. It is just an opinion of ours, a state of our minds. Nothing complicated!

We want to go to Heaven because that's the place where we humans were meant to belong from the beginning. It is a place of eternal happiness indeed, but whether or not it is similar to the idea of utopia is debatable, since that would largely depend on what utopia is. It cannot be that we can be in Heaven when we are on Earth, because it is basic Christian theology that the longing in the hearts of men can only be satisfied by the supernatural, that the entire creation cannot fill the void that is in the heart of 1 single person. It can only be filled by what is described in 1 Corinthians 2:9 as 'the things that no eye has seen and no ear has heard, things beyond the mind of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him'.
You have exhibited near complete ignorance of Christianity. You use what YOU THINK are the teachings of Christianity (which are misrepresentations) and you attack these. But these are mere strawman arguments. Please, do your homework first and try harder if you are serious about discrediting Christianity.

I thought the topic is abt what is "heaven" to me? That is why i have my own interpretion of heaven without any ideology of christianity. Also, eternal happiness, that's the funniest thing i have ever heard. Happiness is an emotion, not something objective. It is decided by you tourself, not something granted to you.
Meaning of happiness also different from everyone. You may not even give a damn when you have good food and home. But those poor ppl from thrid world country will be happy and jump for joy when they have the most simplest things like bread and water. That's what i mean happiness is decided by our own self, not something granted. -

I sort of agree to a certain extent. Bcos one day the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven & be with the new earth forever & ever. & saved Christians will rule from this kingdom with new eternal bodies. There will be no more sun or moon bcos Jesus will be our light! Amen & amen. Glory to God in the highest & peace on earth among men in whom He is well pleased! Hallelujah! Praise God!
