honestly, you like to paraphrase you question that is completely wrong and out of point. You question is totally irrelevant from what im proposing. Totally.Originally posted by stupidissmart:Look like u didn't read my posts. I am asking u to show me why suffering need to have "opposite". i am saying tat non-suffering is simply the absensce of suffering and my evidence is tat the word u used already show tat it is the absence of suffering. Furthermore, u made such the claim tat it must have "opposite ends" so u have to back it up. U r not going to tell me tat it is "opposite end" just because u think so right ? Up till now u still have not back it up.
honestly, you like to paraphrase you question that is completely wrong and out of point. You question is totally irrelevant from what im proposing. Totally.Out of point ? Or u r speechless ? I have say it in plain english tat your answer is making a big assumption, and I am asking u to back up your assumption. (U assume tat suffering has to have extreme end, not simply absence, and I have show my stand by your choice of words) Now u pretend to be dumb or stupid and refuse to talk about it ? Sure, u can refuse to answer it, but anyone who read the above replies will know u r just running from challenges
Im sorry, but i have to be straight.
You may want to read my question and ask me another question.
so you r saying tat suffering doesnt have a opposite??
Ok, damn skyfoo
anything tat is not suffering=non-suffering....can??(no oppsite)
Sufferings is brought by God(clearly mentioned) It can be for some reasons. To manifest his mercy or to manifest his righteousness and justice.SO u mean he give people suffering to glorify himself ? So do u keep caning your sons in order for them to appreciate not being in pain ?
lol. Its about existence of suffering not usage or manipualtion. But you r already close-minded so theres really no point in dicussing,The existence of suffering is to magnify god's mercy and justice (written by u), and it all still meant he give people pain to glorify himself. If u felt the statement is wrong, where is it ? U r the one tat states the above sentence first in your first page. U forgot about it ? Then u say I am close minded when I am quoting your reply ? I think u r the one being close minded
I think u misread his post.Originally posted by stupidissmart:I have already explained my points too
Blah Blah Blah
U need to convince me tat non-suffering r extreme end. Things can go like negative or positive, or like heat, absence of a substance. If u wanna claim tat suffering is like negative and positive, u have to show it, othewise it simply look like heat, and non-suffering is the absence of suffering.
why? u not objective enough?Originally posted by davidche:at last someone objective can direct him.!!!
I think u misread his postPlease elaborate
if there wasnt suffering wld there be happiness???Why not ? The opposite of happiness is not suffering It is sadness.
cool.weve restarted the thinking process.I think u got it wrong. Suffering cause sadness, but it is not the only thing tat cause sadness. U can't link happiness to suffering because they r not truly in contrast with one another
now follow me closely.
happiness oppsites sadness.
suffering causes sadness
so what causes happiness??There r a lot of things, but attitude is the most important
Theres no word good to describe it so lets put it as X shall we?U can't even give a name to tis "X" Is there even such a thing
so if there wasnt suffering wld there be X
X wld simply be a normalty.
Why do we feel hot?But cold is due to the absence of heat same as non-suuffering and suffering
Because we know what it feels like to be cold.
Using cold as a 'weight',
we say that the weather is hot.
didn't read all the mumbo jumbo above.....Originally posted by davidche:So ppl ask why did God create sufferings??
to answer this question, can i first know wad is the opposite of suffering pls??
a question then. Who created suffering? suffering cannot come into existence without being created. is there a force that is equal to that of God?Originally posted by Chin Eng:didn't read all the mumbo jumbo above.....
Wrong question. God did not create suffering.... suffering is the consequence of disobedience. Disobedience may not be restricted to an individual, but because the entire human race disobeyed, therefore there is suffering.
thank God for giving me the opportunity to listen to Rev tong's sermonsOriginally posted by Chin Eng:didn't read all the mumbo jumbo above.....
