depending on which parish u go to, ur first confession should be after your baptism .. but before your confirmation -

Confirmation is when u will be annointed with Chrism and we will pray for the Holy Spirit to come down on you again.
i think only St ignitius and St Mary's of the Angel do baptism and confirmation together.
other parishes seperate both sacraments. -

u can still go to the Lord and prayer and confess your sins. i do that every night too. so dun worry abt these things yet. Most important is the attitude of the heart and a yearning for God

Catholics have to go through this RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), its a 1 year journey with the church and have to go through a few stuff like the Rite of Acceptance, Rite of Election etc... so they basically wana make sure u r 100% sure b4 u get baptised not on an impulse thingy.Originally posted by Cool-gal:catholic, can only be baptised on next Lent day.

i struggled with my gf for 5 yrs before she switched to Catholicism too. but yah!! hope all goes well for u!! -

BTW i am now reading this book called "Cathechismn of the Catholic Church" written by Pope John Paul translated by Geoffrey Chapman. Very interesting, tells u things like the proper interpretation to the Apostles Creed & Lord's Prayer etc... -
