okay got a few questions. doubt they can be answered but will still ask anyways.
1) What was god doing before he created the world and adam and eve? As in what was there? did he create the planets b4 or after or adam and eve as i dont remember it being stated in the bible or maybe ive nt been reading. =x
2) If god was almighty and his powers were limitless, why did god still create adam and eve when he knew they were gonna sin and why does he wants to experience everything in slow motion as in our current actions, when he knows the outcome of everything. What is the point?
Anybody who can answer , do answer. Thanks andd I have more questions , but i cant remember them right now. Will post when i can remember. -

2. Hmm .. God can know whether the couple is gonna sin .. but did He know? I'm not sure whether He wants to know or not.
It is like I can know what is the solution to this year's O levels by looking at the answer sheet .. but if I choose not to peek then I dunno right?
Orthodox Christian theology believes that God was grieved by the Fall of Man. I think I read somewhere God regretted the creation of Man .. maybe the pros like Mc, Vince or Ironside can explain further. -

If that is so hes prbrably not the creator of the whole universe. He is limited to abiding by wad he created. hmmmm...

So if he knows the outcome , what is he doing now? Lets analyse first. so its this timeline that you re talking about. Why is God waiting as we proceed thru this time line,when he already knows the result(end of timeline).
Explaination
God isnt limited by time. He doesnt need to 'wait' as we proceed.
*If he doesnt 'wait', i dunno wad he does, cos im limited by time. No word on earth can explain wad is the so called substance that is beyond time.

To those who pose such questions as those at the start of this thread, may I suggest that if your motive is really to understand and not attempt to discredit Christianity, to do some reading on your own first.
The questions may only consist of a few sentences, but the answers are invariably longer, because hidden behind the few words of those questions are a lot of hidden assumptions and premises which need to be deconstructed, clarified or analysed before any sensible answer can occur.
A quick read of less than 200 pages would be Theology for Beginners by Frank Sheed, which was written with the average lay person in mind.
For a more detailed exposition and which deal with the usual questions of free will/predestination, suffering, what is God doing outside time etc, Theology and Sanity by the same author is highly recommended.
It is quite obvious, after looking at so many different threads, that the answers here will at best be partial due to constraints of time and space. Some effort is required if you really want some solid answers.
If buying a laptop is a process requiring market research, why should anyone think that looking for answers to the ultimate questions of Life be just a matter of posting a few questions on a bulletin board?
