There are definitely people who challenges the faith and are yet unteachable. It is their delibrate attempt to disprove the bible and Christianity.
They are not satisfied with answers, because they didn't believe in the existance of God in the first place. And they've used the bible as a tool to attack.
Every biblical theories have their answers, questions and problems.
Unless you're empowered(which i believe) to deal with in apologetics and debates. I'd suggest that you state your cause and be at peace with the challenger. -

anyway David, words or debates do not convert. The stirring of the Holy SPirit is what converts people. All u can do is spread the word, if people do not accept, do not force it down their throat. And return whatever hostilities with kindess. that IMO is the best testimony -
This is so wrong. The inability to substantiate and provide a basis for your faith (or for that matter of fact, avoiding questions or deliberately confusing people with foggy answers) has given way to this self-assurance or rather self deluding attitude that people are unteachable and close-minded.
I prefer what ben said the other day, about approaching the question of faith on different paradigms. i dont see any side as more justified than the other.
Its more disturbing that anyone would give in to such a conclusion as a way to avoid self reflection or giving a serious thought to the matter, or even admission that 'I dont know'. -

Its always easy to label others as close minded when their views are not congruent with you, or when you could not support your own arguments.
Again, I wish i could delude myself like that, but I prolly wont be able to sleep at night. Conscience doesnt allow.
