Why couldn't God forgive Adam?

Adam was made in the image of God,
after God made Adam, God blew His breath directly into him, and God said good and is pleased.
God make Adam to take charge of all the living things, and also to name all of them.
Before the fall, Adam was able to walk with and talk to God directly, face to face.

The idea of perfect person making wrong choice is moot.
Its the same thing as saying perfect omnipotent beings like a god could also make mistake -
