that's true. I think the evangelism booklet has one. Even NCC says it everytime they conduct the altar call. i am more concerned about how one can abuse the position of being a 'professed' Christian especially when it comes to evangelising or like what icemoon is harping about, misusing the gospel for self interest
in anyway, I am more for Catholics' emphasis on work
i find the notion of faith vs work a silly one
you cant measure faith really, as gasband said, its a personal thing with god, so what other things you can do? i think its something the RCs have worked out -

Seriously I think WORKS is very important in a christian life. James 1:22 tells us not to be just hearers of the word but be DOERS! And Christians who do not see the need to do good works should reflect on their christian life becos a christian who is truly filled with the Holy SPirit will naturally WANT to do good works!Originally posted by laurence82:yeap, i was thinking more of along this line

The long standing issue between Protestants and RC is not whether WORKS are important but whether it is necessary for Salvation. That of cos is a totally different issue.
Again, I cannot emphasize more, WORKS are very important in a christian's walk with God. -

its afterall, concerned with whether there is a afteralife or not
well, i am up for debates, not because i am concerned there is 'wrong' path to salvation, i am not a christian anyway, but because of the some trend of condemning unbelievers, heretics, cults, homosexuals etc to heck and hell
and seeing people trying to justify their silly actions or lapping it up on the miseries of others, makes me wanna take Lomotil for diarrhoea everytime i read the topics -
