Are Catholics suppose to be evangelistic?

By the way, some personal observation
I find a lot of Catholics tend to very knowledgeable about happenings in the world, have better command of English than normal, would participate in a lot of social gatherings/ community events or charity works -
I asked this because I noticed that its usually the christians who go about standing at public places distributing flyers asking people to join their church. I dont see catholics doing that.

If you beleive that those who don't follow your own faith are going to hell and need to save them from that plight ... I think you are being misled not them.
These evangelists are creating a lot of religious conflict in Asia .. they should be banned from peddling their ignorance in public places in Singapore. -

Religious conflicts happen because of other reasons. You'd be hard pressed to cite an incident that happened because of such ignorance. -
