I hoped to do something like that.Originally posted by laoda99:I thinking of doing a website which feature different churches in Singapore with photographs of the church and links and comments from the church goer why the church is unique. Have there been similiar projects b4? Is this idea feasible?
don't have photos and comments. Not personal at all.Originally posted by vince69:try www.antioch.com.sg, they have a list of the churches in singapore, plus the links to the respective church website (if they have one) or a short description (if the church do not have their own)
wtfOriginally posted by Icemoon:I hoped to do something like that.
Since I visited so many churches, I wanted to do a church review. Review everything, from the girls to the sermon.
I will support you in your project.
hmm .. cannot write girls .. or the purpose of the website will be questioned.Originally posted by laurence82:wtf
We will let the readers rate everything minus the girls - pastors, ambience, crowd control, accessibility etc.Originally posted by gasband:actually its an idea worth exploring on. I dun know about the girls part hahaha but we can review the church in a different way like ease to get there, carpark space, the design of the church etc..... My complaint about my own church is that not enuff carpark space and vending machines. It is also too far from the eating places.

nothing on doctrines?Originally posted by vince69:like this, this one will over take chitchat very fast
ok, back to the topic
in order to have this meaningful, think best to have a fixed format/set of questions.
sounds goodOriginally posted by Icemoon:The best part would be a forum-blog like page where people blog their sermon .. woo!
Your one is very much informational.Originally posted by laoda99:sounds good
what i have a skeleton in mind is basically
1) Church pic (outside and inside)
2) A bit of history (knows it is boring but essential)
3) Why it is unique (which part is unique...can take pics)
can anyone add on to these?
I think icemoon will help a lot becoz he visit many churches....
hmmm....mebbe becoz I have mainly church buildings in my mind.....this weekend i will do a draft....anyone else wanna chip in?Originally posted by Icemoon:Your one is very much informational.
I have a grandier vision - to make it collaborative and enriching for all christians alike, regardless of denomination.
so we will do something on doctrines too. but try to be as objective as possible.
don't be surprise that there are some other major contentors in this category.Originally posted by laurence82:nothing on doctrines?
if on physical features, I think CHC pwned them all
well, in terms of architectural design and meaning, i dont see any good church around, except maybe for St Andrews, but even that is a contemporary design designed by civil engineers in modern SingaporeOriginally posted by vince69:don't be surprise that there are some other major contentors in this category.
how abt old catholic churches and armenian churches?Originally posted by laurence82:well, in terms of architectural design and meaning, i dont see any good church around, except maybe for St Andrews, but even that is a contemporary design designed by civil engineers in modern Singapore
true, we cant have those like the European ones, but churches in Singapore nowadays are more like symbols of extravagance and deep pockets, not one that plan to convey strong meaning and values
wah, age isnt the issue hereOriginally posted by laoda99:how abt old catholic churches and armenian churches?
even chjmes....was an old church b4 right?
true, I still prefer architectural design and beauty that just plain metal and concrete.Originally posted by laurence82:well, in terms of architectural design and meaning, i dont see any good church around, except maybe for St Andrews, but even that is a contemporary design designed by civil engineers in modern Singapore
