juz wanna share sth, BPs believe KJV is the most accurate english version cos it is the 1st english translation...it was translated n officially documented by the Synod in the 1600s. the translators translated the original greek-hebrew bible into the KJV...then all other versions followed...so we have other versions being translated from the original KJV...tats y they feel such versions r less accurate...
btw, mormons also believe KJV to be most accurate...their belief is worse, they believe onli KJV is accurate enuff... -

i know that they reject other versions as the authenticated bible.
Therefore they are called BP. -

BPs came out from the presbyterians...reason being presbyterians were starting to join other denominations in believing in the pentecoste movement...so the word 'bible' was added to symbolise their focus on the bible alone...so naturally they will be strict abt the most accurate version to use...

personally, I find the KJV is quite tough for young christian (especially for those that are non-english speaking background) to read, for readability, I find NIV, NLT better, with NASB, NKJV in the middle.

I believe it is one of the few, or the only version, to have the Protestant bible, the Roman Catholic Apocrypha and the Orthodox Church additions all in one book. They call this the ecumenical version.
I have the Oxford edition bought from Borders.
