I had made the decision to remove brey from the role of mod. The question of his role here was questioned a few times.
I have nothing against brey. Just that it is hard for the visitors of EH to separate his opinions from his responsibilities in EH. These mixing up of thoughts and opinions by the visitors is disruptive to the forum.
I believe brey can and will be contributing to the forum even he is no longer a mod (we all started that way).
Hope there is no hard feelings.

I came to you first about my role, whether I should step down or not as there is a difference in my opinion and that I would cause problems in my views with some people... etc, you said it was ok to stay as mod and I could continue, (that you yourself wore two hats, that you posted your opinions and left it at that, and I have followed your lead).... at least then, I could have stepped down graciously, now it would appear to all in EH somthing other than that.
You have not left me with any dignity in EH.
I am very upset with you for this.
What is the point of staying here???

a bit late for that now... nothing against sillyme's decision, but he just went about it the wrong way.Originally posted by vince69:I respect your decision, though I would have wish that this post is not being phrase in this manner.
I view in this, we need to address the need to have mod clearing the mess here and also allowing them to post their own personal opinion.
If such is the case, I would susgest to create 1 or 2 'dummy nicks' solely for the sake of mods, meaning these ids will be used by mods to do the cleaning, allowing the person to continue to post his/her opinion using their own personal nicks. while the use of these 'mod nicks' is solely for Mod purposes only.
Thanks
woah.. never seen MC suddenly so serious beforeOriginally posted by M©+square:What kind of Accountability you want? Do they own you an explaination? Are they responsible of your life that you can demand answers?
What transparency? You think some conspiracy is going on?
This is just a freakin forum, place to discuss and gain knowledge.
We want matters to be dealt with maturely, esp about the things of God, and issues on morals. But we don't want we love to discuss - be it, religion, days of worship or Jesus, God and other edifying messages to become something which would destroy the meaning of why we're gathered here to discuss.
Let someone has said before, we are all just hiding behind a nick.
We should be responsible for our own words.
Trust the moderators and Brey in their maturity, to deal with it.
If they're not going to say anything, so be it.
Icemoon, Maybe you're just jezzing around.
If your are, then i'd suggest we'll let this topic go.

Mods are human also.Originally posted by skeujin:dummy nicks for mods? crap.
is anyone feels the right to edit msgs posted by anyone. he/she shd be brave enuf to use his own original nick and justify his actions
n anyway. anyone who posts r entitled to their own opinion. mods shd not abuse their authority by deleting or editing posts w/o fair justification. this means the mod mus only edit or delete a post if the post is deemed harmful to the particular forum. NOT edit or delete due to conflict of his/her personal intereest.
r u even listening to yourself? im toking bout justification of actions. hiding behind another nick is so contraditory n dishonest.Originally posted by vince69:Mods are human also.
they are entitled to their own personal opinion.
If have 2 nicks can help people to differentiate when a person is acting at the capacity of a mod or when he/she is simiply posting his/her own personal opinion, why not? personal nick -> personal opinion, mod nick -> mod capacity.
ok, and your sugestion on how to go forward to address the issue on people here not able to differentiate between when the person is acting in his own capacity and when the person is acting in the capacity of a mod?Originally posted by skeujin:r u even listening to yourself? im toking bout justification of actions. hiding behind another nick is so contraditory n dishonest.
a mod is given n accepted the responsibility of governing a forum to the best of his ability in the best interest of the forum.
he is free to voice his own opinions thus so is anyone else who wishes to do so.
we are all already hiding behind nicks in this forum. whats the point of creating a clone for the sole purpose of differentiating opinions? no guts to face up to his/her actions?
if the mod feels that his opinions are conflicting to those who post and of the betr interest of the forum then he should step down or be voted off. simple as that.
you said, 2 nicks can help people to differentiate when a person is acting at the capacity of a mod or when he/she is simiply posting his/her own personal opinion? oh please that just makes the mod a hipocrite.
i think the best solution: Dun be a mod....hahahaOriginally posted by vince69:ok, and your sugestion on how to go forward to address the issue on people here not able to differentiate between when the person is acting in his own capacity and when the person is acting in the capacity of a mod?
personally... true, being a mod can be a stressful job.Originally posted by laoda99:i think the best solution: Dun be a mod....hahaha
when a person is delegated n accepts responsibility of anythg. a forum. a club. a company.... he/she accepts that their role is to maintain the integrity of the forums. the interest of the forum or organisation comes 1st above all else. personal interests are secondary.Originally posted by vince69:ok, and your sugestion on how to go forward to address the issue on people here not able to differentiate between when the person is acting in his own capacity and when the person is acting in the capacity of a mod?
ok, understand, thanks for the explainationOriginally posted by skeujin:when a person is delegated n accepts responsibility of anythg. a forum. a club. a company.... he/she accepts that their role is to maintain the integrity of the forums. the interest of the forum or organisation comes 1st above all else. personal interests are secondary.
if he/she feels that their personal interest is in conflict with the interests of the organisation and this hinders the harmony in the organisation. they should step down or the remaining mods remove him/her after relevant justification.
if he/she does not step down and conflict arise because of this person. the integrity of the entire organisation will be questioned and innocents will suffer.
