The difficult laws

In Leviticus, there are many strange laws.
Laws about slavery...buying of slaves, killing, no mating of 2 diff animals, uncleanliness etc.
How does one reconcile this with the present day, where slavery is no longer tolerated, neither do we believe in uncleanliness or eat certain food? Given that the laws were given by God?? -
Christ has fulfilled all these for us.
The new has come and the old have made way for the new. -

Look at the Temple .. issit still around? If not around, do you think you are bound by the Temple laws? -

Somehow I get the idea that we are trying to revive the Jew-Gentile issues of the early church...
Might we sought to see how they were resolved? Or were they ever? Why is it that we do not follow the food laws nowadays, but yet refrain from consuming blood?
We all need some study here, and I not commited to the idea the 'old' law has nothing for us as Christians though... you can never ustart nderstand the depth of grace if you don't understand what exactly it completes. -

Even in NT, some things are different too. Females now don't have to cover their heads like those in Ephesus, neither do they have to remain silent. -

A lot have to do with changing times and the context in which the passages were written. -

in regards to the ten commandments, they are the laws which if followed and understood will guide our relationship between us and our fellow humans and more importantly, it will give us direction in our relationship with God.
