Hi just to share a simple testimony abt the power of prayer in Jesus name.
My bro & i were in the car waiting for a parking lot at Bishan Junction 8. We were running out of time for the cinema show. He stopped the car & waited somewhere in front of the fully parked lots. We then decided to pray for a parking lot. I was a bit low on faith but i don't know abt my bro. Nevertheless i prayed with much difficulty a short prayer.
Do u know what happened the second after we prayed? Yes in a few seconds, the male car owner of the car directly where we were, came & drove the car away. We were in the lot just less than a minute after we prayed.
This happened quite some time ago. It also happened many times already to us. Wow that was some answer!
I would encourage ppl not to give up praying bcos God might just answer directly & quickly. I would also encourage those who never prayed to try praying to God. Who knows what might happen?

I will say God has a better plan or purpose but it's much more than coincidence bcos it happened many times already. On sunday Bishan Junction 8 is full of cars with such a small car park. I just thank God for this small miracle.
Why not u try praying to God for something & see if He answers? Then u can either condemn Him or confess He is true after all. -

Why not? God can do wonders! But He is a reasonable God so He might not answer according to prayer. Why can't He allow systematic driving out of the cars one by one spaced by an interval in b/w? -

i have this thinking. God has everything in place. i.e. everything is fated. things will end the way it is fated to end with or without prayers.

People pray 100 times for different things they hope will be fulfilled. 5 times the event occurs and people will remember it clearly and praise God for it. What exactly should we pray for?
Healing? or Strength to perserve?
Good results in exams? or Concentration to study hard?
Wealth? or Stewardship?
Good weather for a programme? or safety inspite of the weather condition?
Removal of temptation? or ability to resist temptation?
.... we need to be very clear on this one. -

In a normal family setting, how does father wants his children talk to him or ask him for things?
Is the a specific format? or only certain thing can talk/ask?
I will be very sad if my daughter come to me only for certain things in her life, or keep away the rest thinking that I only interested in the big things or is very impersonal. I would rather she come to me with all her needs (though I may not be able to fulfill everything), trusting I love her enough to want to know all the things (big/small/relevant/irrevant) because I love her.
personally, the same will be to God who is our heavenly Father who love us perfectly, wants us to approach him, trusting fully His grace for us thru Christ Jesus.
I can only conclude that there is really nothing we cannot talk to God about, afterall, he already knows about them anyway, and also He wants us to approach Him like a child approaching his/her Father.

Healing? or Strength to perserve? We all know that healing does not always come. So if healing does not come, what then? Blame God for not healing, or ask for strength to perserve
Good results in exams? or Concentration to study hard? By merely focusing on the results and asking God to provide, we are not taking the responsibility to work hard ourselves. So do we need to ask for miracles each time, or ask for strength to work hard?
Wealth? or Stewardship? Is wealth a given thing, or are we admonished to be good stewards? Focusing on wealth is "I am entitled to the money because I am God's child!". Focusing on stewardship is "I have been given all I need and I want to be able to handle it"

Do we need good weather for a programme or good fellowship for a programme. To focus on the weather
Removal of temptation? or ability to resist temptation?
There will always be temptation, so one can't really be removed for it.
Obviously, as a father, I would like to know what goes on with my sons, but all the more, I want them to be mature and be able to make their own decisions and judgements. Right now, my older son continues to tell me what goes on in his life and occasionally, I will share with him my opinions on some of the decisions he had made. I am not addressing the love of God for us, which is unquestionable. I am addressing the flippant attitudes of Christians who pray in with a wrong attitude and for the wrong reason.
I believe God wants us to continue to pray him through worship and praise, as well as seeking his direction, but I think he will be sad when his children continue to seek shallow answers and short term goals, like, "I want to go out, God, please stop the rain" or "I pray for good results, God, and I have confident you'd provide, so I just go out and play now".[/i] -

Dependence on blessings will not make one a better believer. Meditate rather on god's word rather than his blessings is more important, which is why I am against the health/wealth prosperity.

True....the most important is....we are all merely stewards of the money we have now...some christians bend on stocking treasures for themselves in this world rather than for heaven, hence account for all the big cars/condos and the thing they use for defence is quite stupid, which I will not elaborate further. -

so when other religions pray to their Gods and their prayers are answered, does that mean that Christianity is either false in saying its the only true religion, or that there are more Gods than the Christian God, or what? Because there are so many more testimonies about the power of other faith's prayers as well. What does it really prove? I guess then by the same logic that miracles have happened in most faiths' prayers, all religions and their Gods and beliefs are true and valid, not just Christianity's, and that makes it immoral for Christians (or people from any other religion) to say that non-believers go to hell.
