Other than keep arguing over theological and denominational issues which i find it rather meaningless and mundane. let's talk about Prayer
What are your personal prayer habits and what prayer really means to you?

some people says, prayers must be specific in order for the prayer to be effective, meaning when it happen, you know God had answers your prayer.
some people says, prayers must be in general term, so that you don't restrict God, or sound manupilative.
some says, you must pray in tongue, then the prayer will be powerful.
some says, close your eyes, some says must keep them open.
some says must kneel down, some even says must prostrate on the ground.
some says must clasp your hands, some says must open your arms toward heaven.
I says, doesn't matter, the is only one thing Jesus says about prayer, that is we are to pray and ask in His name.
so Just pray in His name, putting your faith in His Works, believing that because of Jesus our prayers will be acceptable before God, and God will definitely answer your prayer (whatever the answer will be).

I believe in praying with all heart, might & soul. Just say wats deep in your heart. Everytime after i pray i just feel such a sense of peace, its like God's my confidante like pouring out my heart to the Heavenly Father.
At times tho wen i just am stuck wz words i then interceed in prayer throught tongues.
Having head knowledge is one thing but having HEART knowlege is another. -

personally need quiet, private space to pray. to me, prayer connects a sense of intimacy with God - i mean i cant seems to very much hear Him and speak with Him in the midst of our busy life. -

Prayer to me.. means
a conversation with God.. anytime of the day. It could be to thank Him, tell HIM tat i love Him and knowing that He loves me. The differences btw one prayer from the other.. perhaps is the length of it. No motives ba.. -
How many of you have 'Quiet Time'? I wonder where this concept came from.

basically the practice is to set aside sometime to ponder over the things of God, like prayers, bible reading ...etc, basically just to spend sometime with the Lord.
Personally feels it good to do it, even better if can do this consistently, again there is no rules that a christian do this how often or for how long or even do it at all.
In this area, I must confess, I am not very consistent.

I know speaking in tongues might not be voluntary. yes, I have also witness some people that seems to be out of control, and ended up 'hijacking' the church service and the pastor have to step in to 'interrupt' him/her, of course there are people that say the 'Holy Spirit' take over the contol of them (like processed like that), I also am not in a position to comment on their behaviour.
Personally I feel that this is not the right thing to do, cause the gifts of the Spirit should also be accomplied by the fruits of the Spirit. -
