ok, to begin with, may I ask you, who/what is God to you personally?
the reason I am asking you this, is that a lot of people (even non-christians) may profess that they believe that there is a God, but not know who He is personally. I believe when you know who God is, you will be able to find Him.

Where is God when Jesus was crucified on the cross?
The bible tells us that before the foundation of the world, ppl who belongs to God have their name written on the book of life. So yes, God knows ahead of time what will happen but He simply allow certain things to happen as He works for good all things ultimately. We simply would not fully understand God's plan and thought.
In this life, we would not have full answer to all questions. So the questions you asked would be a mystery till we meet God. God said that the secret things belong to Him.... (c.f Deuteronomy 29:29) We simply have to trust in Him. We are the clay. Who are we to question the Potter?

Read the OT when God is still not that quiet with His people. I find reading OT helps me understand the nature of God and why He would do certain things.

The Christian Bible says that in the Person of Jesus Christ, the fullness of God is pleased to dwell. That is to say that if you know Jesus personally, you know God personally.
How to know Jesus? It is not reading about Him from the Bible thats all. Certainly dont even bother to find out from the Da Vinci Code novel.
Knowing Jesus is reading about Him through the Bible and at the same time experience all that He claimed He is by receiving Him by faith into your life.

In the first place, apparently no one here at Eternal Hope knows what you are going through, or what kind of "suffering" you're undergoing.
So any respond to all questions will only be stock answers. Unless you can specifically talked about what your problem is, there is very little advice or answers anyone can give.
Suffering? It all depends on what you'd consider suffering. Myself and at least one other regular EH regular is suffering from some kind of incurable disease. Note that I use the word "incurable" and not fatal. Is that suffering.... well, if I don't take care of my health, I'd die.
Unless you can share (even through Private Messages) no one can help you, and all your frustrated banging on your caps locked keyboard isn't going to do you any good.... and for that matter, neither is waking up at 5 am (which really is no big deal, I walk up at 5.40 am every morning)..... -
